TV and Film Credits
As well as being an award-winning novelist and playwright, Linda is a award-winning television writer, (Writers Guild Awards, Banff award etc), with nominations for Writers' Guild awards in the following categories: Best TV Series Episode, Best Mini Series, Best TV Work for Children and Best Original Feature Film. She has credits for TV mini-series, drama-documentary, serials, fifty minute and twenty-five minute series drama and children's TV drama (teleplay and drama series), often writing many episodes for individual series, and has been employed by TV companies from Australia, New Zealand, USA and UK. She has been commissioned to devise and write the bible, pilot and storylines for many TV drama series, mostly in Australia, but also in the UK, New Zealand and, memorably, just north of the Antarctic on a navy frigate, where she was appointed honorary ship's doctor. She now also works internationally as a script consultant and dramaturg, most recently on Simon and the Oaks (2011) and Dear Alice (2010).
Linda's art house feature film Kostas was nominated for both AFI and Writers' Guild awards and has become a cult classic. Like most TV writers of her generation Linda cannot recall the exact number let alone the titles of her TV credits (which is why you will find so little in IMDb) and has even greater trouble recalling all of the TV drama series and feature films she has been flown around the world to create and write and which still lurk in development hell . |
